Taylor Charlton was last seen on CCTV on 8 May in Barnstaple

A significant police investigation remains ongoing four weeks after the disappearance of a teenager.

Devon and Cornwall Police said investigations into the disappearance of Taylor Charlton, 15, had seen officers gather and review a "substantial amount" of CCTV footage from north Devon.

Charlton's last confirmed sighting was on CCTV near a footpath close to Tarka Leisure Centre and the Seven Brethren car park, Barnstaple, at 22:41 BST on 8 May.

The force said that while all lines of inquiry remained open, there was no evidence at this time that a third-party was involved in his disappearance.

Senior Investigation Officer Det Insp Charlotte Heath said: "Detectives have obtained and reviewed a large amount of CCTV and spoken to many people already, but it is important that we are aware of all possible information at the exact point that he went missing in order to try to establish what has happened."

She appealed for anyone who saw him on 8 May. or had any digital recording of him.

"Our thoughts remain very much with Taylor's family, who continue to be updated and supported by specially-trained officers.

"We are grateful to the public for their significant support regarding this matter.

"We are aware of continued speculation on social media and would remind people to avoid sharing any unconfirmed information online as this makes the investigation more challenging."

'Please reach out'

Taylor has been described as about 5ft 8ins tall, of muscular build, with dark brown hair and a moustache.

He was last seen wearing a bright blue fitted top, jeans and bright blue Nike shoes.

Taylor's mum Zoe said: "Taylor, I am absolutely desperate for you to come home. I love you so much and I am worried sick about you.

"You are not in trouble. Please reach out to someone. We are all waiting for you with open arms."

Taylor's dad Alex said: "If there is anything anyone knows, please come forward.

"Taylor is a loving, loyal and special lad and we can't wait to have him home again."
