Motorcycle rider dies after single vehicle crash

A 63-year-old man has died after a single vehicle crash near Barnstaple.

Emergency services were called at about 08:20 BST on 22 May, to an unnamed road between Filliegh and Swimbridge to a serious collision involving a Honda motorcycle.

The motorbike rider from Swimbridge sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that officers have been notified he has since died of his injuries.

The force added it was continuing to appeal for information and dash cam footage, alongside anyone who witnessed the incident, to make contact.
