Homes in Surrey, East Sussex and Kent have been hit by burst water mains

Homes in Surrey, East Sussex and Kent have been hit by water supply problems following three burst water mains.

South East Water says properties in Firs Close, Aylesford, Kent, Colemans Hatch, Hartfield, East Sussex and Verran Road in Camberley, Surrey, have been affected.

The company has apologised to customers who have either lost their supply altogether or who have low pressure.

It said it is trying to fix the damaged main "as a priority", and will return supplies to normal as soon as it can.

Clarification 30 April: This article originally referred to a burst main. We have updated it to make clear that there were three separate burst water mains affecting three different areas.
