A public consultation is to be held on a proposal to improve traffic flow on a "pinch-point" road in Hull.

About £2.5m is to be spent on Calvert Lane to help with "getting the route moving to make it easier for people to go about their lives", a city council report has said.

The document said the junctions on a five-arm roundabout and traffic lights on the south of the road were causing the delays.

An option for the improvement work has been drawn up and will be put out for comments in the autumn.

The report will be discussed at a council meeting on 16 April, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
