A Coventry firm that specialises in making driverless vehicles has revealed expansion plans at a new manufacturing and engineering hub in the city.

Aurrigo, currently based at the Bilton Industrial Estate, is moving as part of its expansion after raising £14.1m for the scheme at the end of last year.

The firm will move to its new hub, based at Power Park Coventry

The new site measures 130,615 sq ft, with bosses hoping the facility will be able to make 500 autonomous vehicles each year, when fully up and running.

Professor David Keene MBE, from the firm, said the new centre marked an important milestone for the business.

A spokesperson said the relocation "places Aurrigo at the heart of the UK's growing electrification and clean mobility ecosystem".

"We are really pleased to have secured a new home in Coventry, just a few miles from our existing site and, importantly, a place where we can create jobs for highly skilled people and the next generation of engineers and software specialists," Keene added.
