Man stabbed in neck in betting shop

The incident happened at a Ladbrokes shop in Dewsbury

Two people are wanted by police after a man was stabbed in the neck at a bookmakers in Dewsbury.

Officers said they wanted to speak to Nicholas Wood, 38, and 23-year-old Jasmin Briggs following the incident, which happened in the Ladbrokes shop on Foundry Street at around 13:50 BST on Friday 3 April.

The victim required hospital treatment for his injury following the attack.

A 46-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding and bailed pending further enquiries.

Nicholas Wood is described as of slim build, with short, brown hair. He was last seen wearing a light grey jumper and joggers, with a black cap.

It is believed that he has links to the Huddersfield and Wakefield areas, as well as Bridlington and Hull.

Jasmin Briggs is described as a white , approximately 5ft 1in (1.55m) tall and slim build with dark brown shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing a black jumper and black trousers.

It is believed that she also has links to Huddersfield and Wakefield, as well as Bridlington, Driffield, and Hull.
