Men admit charges after cereal found in drugs raid
Getty ImagesThree men have pleaded guilty to drugs offences following a raid in which 20 kilos of suspected stolen cornflakes were seized.
West Yorkshire Police recovered £750,000 worth of drugs along with the cereal stash, £10,000 in cash and a number of Rolex watches while searching properties in Pontefract and Darrington last month.
Kyle Bates, Mark Bates and Reece Britnell appeared at Leeds Crown Court earlier where they admitted a number of offences. A fourth man, Alan Tonks, did not enter a plea.
Judge Christopher Batty adjourned the case until 18 June.
During the hearing, Kyle Bates, 34, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.
Mark Bates, 38, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, cannabis and ketamine and possession of criminal property.
Britnell, 23, of no fixed abode, admitted possession with intent to supply cannabis.
Tonks, 47, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.
