A man has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a single-vehicle motorcycle collision in north Devon.

The man, 63, was badly hurt in the crash on an unnamed road between Filliegh and Swimbridge, near Barnstaple, on Friday at about 08:20 BST.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it was appealing for anyone who had witnessed the single-vehicle crash involving a Honda motorcycle to contact them. The man's family has been told, officers said.

The road was closed while investigation work was carried out at the scene.
