Two more boys arrested in man's murder probe

Another two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a stabbing.

Muhammad Butt, 20, was found injured in an alley between Cutbush Lane and Gipsy Lane in Lower Earley, Reading, Berkshire, at about 16:25 BST on Saturday.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) said the boys from Reading, who are the third and fourth boys to be arrested on suspicion of Butt's murder, were arrested on Wednesday and remain in custody.

On Tuesday, Butt's family said they were "heartbroken" by the "unimaginable loss" of their "beloved son".

A boy arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday was bailed, while another arrested on Sunday remains in custody, TVP said.

A fifth teenage boy, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Sunday and was also later bailed.

The force said it believed there is no wider threat to the wider public.
