The body of a woman was found in a pond at a park.

Lancashire Police said the discovery was made after officers were called to Lowther Gardens on Lowther Terrace, Lytham, at 09:00 BST.

The force initially said the death was being treated as "unexplained".

In an update later on Monday, it said it was not being treated as suspicious and a file would be prepared for the coroner.

"Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this difficult time," the force added.
