Three arrested after man injured in serious assault in Wick

Three people have been arrested following a serious assault in Wick late on Monday night.

Emergency services were called to Glamis Road at about 23:45 and a man was taken to hospital for treatment.

Two men aged 30 and 54 and a 33-year-old woman were arrested.

Police Scotland said its inquiries were ongoing.

The incident happened in the King Street area on Saturday afternoon

Police are also investigating a serious assault in Inverness.

A 51-year-old man was attacked in the King Street area of the city at 12:55 on Saturday.

Emergency services attended and he was taken to Raigmore Hospital.
