Six Vietnamese men are to stand trial after cannabis plants worth an estimated £7.1m were discovered inside the former Wick High School in Caithness.

Thong Vo, 38, Chinh Nguyen, 44, Diep Van Le, 47, Trung Nguyen, 35, Pham Quoc Anh, 23, and Nam Viet Le, 23, face charges of being involved in the production and supply of the class B drug.

The offences are alleged to have happened between 1 July 2025 and 1 February 2026.

Vo's legal team did not enter a plea, while lawyers for the other five pled not guilty as well as lodging a special defence of coercion on behalf of each.

The case against the six men called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.

It was told that inquiries were ongoing with the Home Office National Referral Mechanism into whether any of the six were potentially victims of human trafficking.

Lord Scott fixed a trial to begin in October 2027.
