US shares inch higher as investors await Nvidia results
US shares inched higher at the Opening Bell on Wednesday, despite growing concerns about inflation being stoked by the conflict in the Middle East. Bond markets have been rattled by growing bets that the next move on US interest rates will be up, as investors write off hopes of lower borrowing costs.
That has seen some market watchers warn that Wall Street could be in for a sharp downturn, sooner or later. For now, though, all eyes are on chip giant Nvidia, which reports results after the bell.
