Man pleads guilty to threatening messages

A 35-year-old man has appeared before Guernsey's Magistrate's Court charged with sending messages "of a menacing character" to two people.

Nico Roger Dormer, pleaded guilty to both offences in court. The charges relate to messages described as menacing that were sent via WhatsApp over the weekend, the court heard.

Guernsey Police arrested Dormer at a private property early on Sunday morning "on suspicion of making threats to kill".

Dormer was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced next month.
