Police make further arrests after stabbing incidents

Detectives have made further arrests following two incidents on the same night

Detectives investigating two stabbing incidents in Derby have made further arrests.

Officers were called to Peckham Gardens in Mackworth just after 20:00 BST on 20 May after man in his 30s was stabbed. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, cannabis possession and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Police were also called to Ramshaw Way, Stockbrook, at about 20:30 on the same evening after two men, 34 and 19, were stabbed. Four men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but were released without charge.

Police on Tuesday said two more men and a boy had been arrested in connection with the incidents.

In relation to the Mackworth incident, Derbyshire Police said a 51-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.

A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

All three have been bailed pending further inquiries.

In relation to the Stockbrook incident, detectives said they have now arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of GBH with intent and robbery.

He has been bailed with conditions and inquiries are ongoing, the force added.

Derbyshire Police is appealing for witnesses of either incident to come forward.
