Man charged after fatal motorbike collision in Glasgow

A man has been charged with road traffic offences after the death of a 74-year-old pedestrian who was hit by a motorbike in Glasgow last year.

The collision happened on the evening of Friday 12 December, near the junction of Pollokshaws Road and Queen Square.

The 52-year-old rider of the Triumph Bonneville bike and the female pedestrian were taken the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but the woman died nine days later.

Police Scotland said a man, aged 52, was arrested and charged earlier this week and a report had been sent to the procurator fiscal.
