A flock of sheep disrupted morning rush hour traffic at Aberdeen after wandering on to the city's A90 bypass.

About 20 animals appeared on the southbound carriageway of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) near Kingswells at about 08:30.

The road was closed at the scene until the sheep were escorted to safety.

The carriageway reopened at about 09:00.
