Arrest after gang of youths attack couple at taxi rank

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault at a taxi rank in Salisbury

Three teenagers have been arrested after a couple were attacked by a group of youths at a taxi rank, police have said.

Officers were called to reports of a man and woman aged in their 40s being assaulted at about 23:15 BST on Monday in Salisbury.

The victims managed to get into a taxi, but they were then further attacked and injured by the gang.

Wiltshire Police confirmed a 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, criminal damage and affray, a 16-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of ABH and affray and a 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill.

Two of the youths remain in custody and one has been released on bail.
