A road has been closed in Surrey after a house fire broke out and spread to four neighbouring properties.

The fire began in Kings Mews, off Frimley Green Road in Camberley, at about 06:00 BST.

A Surrey Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesperson said that the incident had been scaled down as of 17:30.

It added that all people at the properties were accounted for.

At the height of the fire, six fire engines, an aerial ladder platform and command unit were in attendance and the public were urged to avoid the area.
