Reported drone sightings delay airport operations
BBCReported drone sightings have delayed Jersey Airport operations on Monday morning.
Ports of Jersey confirmed services reassumed shortly after investigations were carried out and delays were brief.
Jersey Police and Airport Fire Service both investigated the incident.
A spokesperson from Ports of Jersey said: "We would remind drone users that flying within two nautical miles of the airport is not permitted without prior approval from Jersey Air Traffic Control."
It is illegal to operate and fly drones at any time within the restricted zone around the airport without authorisation.
The Civil Aviation Authority's Drone Code provides advice for how operators can safely use drones.
The main points include keying flights below 400ft (120m) and ensure pilot's always have clear sight of the drone.
Pilots are also reminded to keep drones away150ft (approx 50m) from people and property.
Ports of Jersey has been asked the length of time that operations were paused for but it has not replied to media requests.
