Motorcyclist taken to hospital after A50 collision

A man has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a motorbike and a van on the A50 in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police said it was called to the collision on the westbound carriageway between Hilton and the Toyota Island roundabout shortly after 10:20 BST on Monday.

A 66-year-old man who was riding the motorbike, has been taken to hospital with injuries the police said were "not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing".

The road was closed while emergency services were at the scene but has since reopened.
