Two men have been arrested after drugs including crystal meth and ketamine were discovered in a police raid.

Officers also found a 20-litre (35-pint) barrel of a chemical believed to have been used to make the drugs, when they searched a property in Elmira Way, Salford, early on Friday morning.

The liquid will be tested before being appropriately disposed of, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

Two 29-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs. They remain in custody for questioning.

Sgt Adam Culpan, from GMP, said the raids "resulted in significant recoveries and has seen harmful substances taken out of circulation".
