Dance teacher denies child sexual offences
BBCA dance teacher who featured in a TV reality series has denied two child sex offences.
Warren Bullock, from Lower Penn, near Wolverhampton, spoke only to confirm his personal details and indicate not guilty pleas at Cannock Magistrates' Court on Friday.
The 61-year-old is accused of causing or inciting a 14-year-old boy to engage in sexual activity and another charge of intentionally touching a boy.
Bullock, who helped found a dance studio near Wolverhampton in 1994 and starred in Netflix documentary Baby Ballroom was told to appear at Stafford Crown Court next month.
Bullock was charged with two offences by Staffordshire Police after an inquiry by the force's Online Investigations Team into a report of sexual communication with a child.
One of the charges against Bullock alleges that he caused or incited a boy aged 14 to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity involving a sex toy between dates in 2021 and 2023.
The second charge, relating to the same time span and alleged to have taken place in Lower Penn, accuses Bullock of intentionally touching a boy aged 14, contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
During legal submissions, the court heard the prosecution alleges that Bullock pinched the alleged victim's bottom.
Dressed in a blue suit, white shirt and blue tie, Bullock was granted conditional bail at the hearing and ordered to appear at the crown court on 16 November.
Among the conditions is an instruction not to undertake any work involving contact with under-18s and to have no contact with the alleged victim.
