Plans for 39-acre extension of business park
StofordPlans have been announced to extend a business park in Wolverhampton by 39 acres, with work expected to start at the site in early 2028.
The i54 South Staffordshire complex, off Junction 2 of the M54, could see up to four new units on an allocated employment site, which will be known as Stoford Park i54.
Property developers Stoford have announced they are working with Midland Land Portfolio Limited (MLPL), a subsidiary of Severn Trent, on the 660,000 sq ft manufacturing project.
Stoford said they were aiming to submit the planning application in November 2026.
The property developer said units at the site would range in size from 50,000 to 500,000+ sq ft and would be aimed at occupiers seeking modern facilities on a pre-let or pre-sale basis.
They added that the manufacturing scheme would be designed to reduce carbon emissions through energy-efficient features including solar panels, LED lighting, EV charging and rainwater harvesting.
Stoford director, Gerard Ludlow, said: "Stoford Park i54 provides an opportunity to deliver high quality manufacturing space in a location that has already established itself as a destination for advanced manufacturing and engineering businesses."
Stewart Kellie, senior property development manager at MLPL, said: "There is a real opportunity to create new jobs and attract investment to the area, while making good use of land that has been allocated for employment."
