Give your views on new hospital as plans go on show
North West Anglia NHS Foundation TrustPeople in Cambridgeshire are being invited to view the latest plans for a new hospital, including a scale model of the proposed building.
Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon was one of four in the East of England with Raac (reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete) in some of its walls and roof, causing ongoing structural issues.
North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, said the latest designs and proposals would be on display at an event on Saturday, where people can provide feedback and meet members of the project team.
The free event will be held in the hospital's Garden Restaurant between 10:00 BST and 14:00.
The site has been included in the first wave of the government's New Hospital Programme, with the new site expected to open by the end of 2032.
The new building would be on the southern corner of the existing site, so services would continue during the construction process.
Trust board papers revealed more than 1,000 people were engaged with as part of a consultation earlier this year.
Deborah Lee, is the senior responsible officer for the redevelopment programme. She said: "We are keen to ensure local people have the opportunity to see how the proposals are progressing, ask questions and share their views as we continue to develop the plans."
The trust said feedback would be used to refine proposals before a planning application is submitted.
