A man has been accused of coaching a youth football team despite being banned from working with children.

Courtney Branagan, 37, from Hull, has been charged with engaging in regulated activity with children whilst being on the Children's Barred List, Humberside Police said.

The force said Branagan allegedly continued to coach for two years after being told he was prohibited by the Disclosure and Barring Service in 2019.

He has been released on bail and will appear before Hull Magistrates' Court on 13 November.
