Road closed as eight crews tackle flat fire
BBCEight fire crews are at the scene of a flat fire in Derby.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of the fire in Osmaston Road, Normanton, shortly after 13:40 BST on Thursday.
The service said eight crews from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, along with an aerial ladder platform, were at the scene.
Derbyshire Police said the road was closed between Bradshaw Way and Litchurch Street. Hartington Street is also closed.
The fire service said crews were continuing to tackle the blaze from outside of the property due to a collapsed chimney stack, and a building surveyor was heading to the scene.
