A 14-year-old boy has been released on bail after a teenager was stabbed in Chesterfield.

Derbyshire Police said they were called to reports that a 16-year-old boy had been assaulted in Storrs Road just before 15:20 BST on Friday.

The boy was taken to hospital after suffering a stab wound that was not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Detectives said the 14-year-old, who was arrested following the incident, has since been released as investigations continue.

Officers said they were still keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage.
