Health group to expand for additional hospital
NHSA health group has confirmed it will expand to allow a third hospital to join.
Surrey-based Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals (ASPH) and Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust (RSFT) will welcome Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (QVH), in East Grinstead, West Sussex, to the group.
A spokesperson said the expanded group will bring together expertise to strengthen services and improve care for patients.
The three trusts say they have worked together since December 2025 to support the collaboration.
All three hospitals will remain independent NHS foundation trusts, with their own boards, leadership, identities and accountability.
Louise Stead, group chief executive of ASPH and RSFT, said: "Our group was created to enable our trusts to work more closely together, sharing clinical expertise and learning where this benefits patients, colleagues and communities."
Abigail Jago, acting chief executive of QVH NHS Foundation Trust, added: "Joining the expanded group gives us the opportunity to build on our expertise and work alongside ASPH and RSFT to support the future of our services."
