Woman seriously hurt in crash involving lorry and car

A woman has suffered serious injuries in a crash involving a lorry and car in West Sussex, police said.

The crash happened on Lewes Road (A22), East Grinstead, just before 05:30 BST.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said the driver of the car has been taken to hospital.

The road has been closed between Worsted Lane and Luxfords Lane, they added.

Officers are appealing for information or dashcam footage.
