A crew member from a boat has been rescued from the sea off the Norfolk coast.

The person was located using the HM Coastguard's helicopter at Caister-on-Sea, before being rescued by the independent Coastguard Lifeboat team, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said.

The Caister Lifeboat was deployed at about 17:20 BST on Tuesday and a large emergency service response was reported by residents on social media.

The Winterton and Gorleston coastguard rescue teams, seven other vessels, the ambulance service and Norfolk Police were also involved in the search and recovery, the MCA said.
