Police released CCTV images of William Riddell after his death

A man has been charged with murder almost two years after a man was found dead in a flat.

William Riddell, 59, was found dead by ambulance crews at his home on Astbury Avenue in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, at about 23:35 GMT on 10 November 2024.

A 49-year-old man from Longsight has now been charged with murder and has been remanded into custody, Greater Manchester Police said.

He will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court later.
