Provisional crossbow shooting trial date set
BBCA provisional trial date has been set for a former University of Surrey student charged with attempting to murder a member of staff with a crossbow on campus.
Almunthir Daqamah, 21, is accused of shooting campus safety officer Robert Tytler at the Manor Park Student Village in Guildford on 4 June.
Daqamah, who is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of possession of a bladed article, and possession of a Class B drug, is currently scheduled to stand trial in November.
He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at court in August.
