Provisional crossbow shooting trial date set

Almunthir Daqamah, a former University of Surrey student, is due to stand trial in November, a hearing at Guildford Crown Court was told

A provisional trial date has been set for a former University of Surrey student charged with attempting to murder a member of staff with a crossbow on campus.

Daqamah, who is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of possession of a bladed article, and possession of a Class B drug, is currently scheduled to stand trial in November.

He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at court in August.
