Man held after pedestrians seriously hurt in crash
BBCA 35-year-old man has been arrested after a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Bridlington.
Humberside Police said the 83-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being struck by a silver Peugeot Teepee Expert van on Trinity Road at about 09:00 BST on Wednesday.
A second woman, aged 78, suffered serious injuries, the force said.
The man, who remains in custody, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving while unfit through drugs, a spokesperson added.
The force asked anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
