Police officer arrested following sex act in pub car park
BBCA police officer has been arrested after he was allegedly filmed taking part in a sex act on a pub car park.
CCTV images of the encounter, which is said to have happened in Shropshire in April, have been shared on social media.
West Mercia Police confirmed a man was in custody on suspicion of outraging public decency.
The BBC spoke to two members of the public who viewed the footage, one of whom reported the officer to the force.
The CCTV footage allegedly shows the officer, who was off-duty at the time, receiving oral sex from an unidentified woman.
"I am horrified that this man is in the police," said the person who made the report.
"It's shocking and sickening that this involves somebody in a position of authority."
A second person said that they were angered by the alleged incident.
"It's disgusting, does he think he's above the law?" they said.
A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police confirmed an investigation was under way.
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency and is currently in police custody," she said.
"The arrest relates to an incident in north Shropshire in April this year."
