Man charged after car driven into house

Extensive damage was caused to the house during an incident in the Galliagh area of Derry

A 36-year-old man has been charged after a car was driven into a house in Londonderry.

Police said they responded to the incident at Altcar Park in the Galliagh area on Tuesday.

The man has been charged with 12 offences, including aggravated burglary, making threats to kill, criminal damage, two counts of possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and four counts of threatening or abusive behaviour.

He has also been charged with dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and interference with vehicles.

He will appear in court on Thursday.
