Motorists on the Isle of Man have been warned of temporary speed restrictions on a stretch of main road while damaged safety signs are replaced following a crash.

The Department of Infrastructure said part of the A5 New Castletown Road both sides of the Blackboards would be restricted to 30mph (48km/h) between 09:30 BST and 15:30 on Tuesday.

Work will be done to install new "bend warning chevrons" after existing signs were damaged in a crash.

The department said the restrictions would also apply on the approach to the bend from the Old Castletown Road. Buffer zones of 40mph (64km/h) will also be in place on both roads immediately prior to the 30mph zones.
