A 43-year-old man has appeared in court accused of killing a man who died after an altercation outside a shop in Lancashire.

Connor Doyle, of Cheltenham Road in Blackburn, appeared before magistrates in Preston charged with the manslaughter of 35-year-old Marek Krygier, who had been living in Blackburn.

The Polish national was seriously injured after a row with two men outside Home Bargains in Byrom Street on 27 March and died in hospital the following day, a Lancashire Police spokesperson said.

Doyle was remanded in custody and will next appear at Preston Crown Court on 6 May. Police said a 44-year-old man had been released on conditional bail pending further inquiries.
