Woman dies after collision with bus

A female pedestrian has died after a collision with a bus, police have said.

Officers were called at about 10:20 BST on Friday to a serious crash on Hele Road in Torquay.

The pedestrian, a local woman in her 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene and her next of kin have been informed, police said.

The road was closed while an examination of the scene was carried out, and it reopened at about 20:00 BST.
