Passengers have been warned to prepare for diverted trains or bus replacement services as work to upgrade tracks takes place.

Engineering work is due between Peterborough and Doncaster on Sunday, with an diversionary train route direct between those two stations adding 50 minutes to journey times.

Rail replacement coaches will also operate in both directions between Peterborough, Grantham, Retford, Newark Northgate and Doncaster, and on the branch line serving Lincoln.

LNER is due to run hourly services each way between Scotland and London King's Cross and one service every two hours each way between Leeds and King's Cross.

There will also be no LNER services to or from Bradford Forster Square, Harrogate, Hull or Skipton which usually connect to the main line between Doncaster and York.
