The quad bike was seized by police

A 13‑year‑old riding a quad bike has been reported for a motoring offence following reports of anti‑social off‑road riding in Bradford.

Officers attended Bolton Woods Quarry on Tuesday after being alerted to quad bikes and off-road motorcycles being used anti-socially, police said.

Several riders made off but police said one bike was stopped and seized and its teenage rider reported.

Officers were operating as part of Operation Steerside, a West Yorkshire Police crackdown on illegal and anti‑social driving.

Police said off-road riding caused lasting environmental harm

In a social media post, police shared a picture of damage found at the site.

They said: "We know the comments will come — "it's just kids having fun" — so for some context, please take a look at the second photo.

"That image shows what was once a green space, now heavily damaged due to repeated off‑road riding.

They added: "Riding these vehicles illegally puts others at risk, causes lasting environmental harm, and creates nuisance for local communities and that's why we take action when it happens."
