A regular farmers' market is returning to Hull city centre on Friday.

Hull City Council said the market would be held in Trinity Square and would feature a variety of stalls selling locally made produce.

Subsequent markets would be held on the second Friday of each month, the authority said.

April's market, which runs from 10:00 to 15:00 BST, would also feature family entertainment, a spokesperson added.

Kath Wynne-Hague, head of culture, place and city centre, said: "It is fantastic to see a farmers' market back in Hull city centre.

"We want Hull to be a place where local businesses can flourish and where visitors can enjoy a unique, high-quality experience every time they visit."
