Man arrested after boy, 17, shot on football pitch
GoogleA 19-year-old man has been arrested after a teenage boy was shot in the leg on a football pitch in Huddersfield.
Police said the 17-year-old victim suffered a "non life-threatening" leg injury following the incident, which happened on The Woodlanders FC pitch off Spaines Road in Birkby on 8 April, between 20:30 and 21:00 BST.
The suspect was arrested in Leeds city centre on Tuesday night on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He remains in police custody, West Yorkshire officers added.
Anyone who witnessed the incident has been asked to come forward.
