A music teacher who denies committing a string of child sex offences will face trial in December 2027.

Philip Anderson, of Dursley in Gloucestershire, appeared in court earlier to deny six counts of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 by touching.

The charges relate to offences alleged to have been committed over a four-year period against five girls at two schools in Gloucestershire, where Anderson was employed as a private music teacher.

Anderson, 49, who also denies two counts of sexual assault relating to a girl he privately tutored, spoke only to confirm his name and enter his pleas during a hearing at Gloucester Crown Court.

Judge Rupert Lowe said a further case management hearing will be held on 26 October 2026.
