People who have been impacted by breast cancer are being urged to explore a new partnership with a charity.

Pink Ladies said it had teamed up with the London-based Future Dreams Charity to help provide more services for patients in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

The online resources included a mindfulness course and virtual community groups to give support during diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

Trustees at Pink Ladies said they would like patients in Guernsey to come forward to look at the resources being made available to help the charity shape the project.

Naomi Leach, chairwoman of the Pink Ladies, said the partnership was "incredibly exciting".

"By connecting with Future Dreams, we aim to offer islanders access to a wider choice of breast cancer specific resources," she said.

Jackie Wright, lead clinical nurse specialist at Future Dreams, said the project marked a "significant milestone in expanding access to support services".

Wright added: "Future Dreams aims to build on this success by scaling the model to other communities, particularly those where geographical barriers limit access to vital support."
