Murder charge after man found with head injuries
Carey family via Met PoliceA man has been charged with the murder of 39-year-old Thomas Carey, who was found with head injuries in a property in south London last Friday.
Carey, 39, was declared dead at the scene, on Poynders Road in Clapham, shortly after emergency services arrived, the Met Police said.
Leroy Heffron, 38, of Sangley Road, Catford, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court for a first hearing later on Thursday.
A woman in her 30s was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and remains in police custody, while a man, also in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on bail.
Det Ch Insp Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our inquiries remain ongoing, and we continue to appeal for information.
"We urge anyone who may have seen or heard anything unusual on the evening of Thursday, 3 September into the early morning of Friday, 4 September to reach out and speak to us."
