A man has died after the van he was driving crashed into a lorry parked in a layby.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called at about 22:00 GMT on 10 March to reports of a collision in a layby, where a Vauxhall van had collided with a parked HGV on the A30 westbound at Fenny Bridges near Honiton in Devon.

It said the van driver, a man in his 20s from Hampshire, was taken to hospital with multiple serious injuries, where he later died.

The force is appealing for witnesses to contact them.
