Intruders attack man with metal bars
PA MediaA man has been badly beaten with metal bars during an a break-in in County Tyrone.
Police said three men wearing face coverings forced their way into the house at Culmore Park in Omagh at around 02:00 BST on Thursday by smashing a back door window.
A 28-year-old man who was in the house was beaten with metal bars and needed treatment for injuries, including a head wound.
His mobile phone was also stolen by the intruders.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
One of the men was wearing a grey Adidas hoodie with a black baseball cap and jeans, while another was wearing a black jacket, baseball cap and jeans.
The third suspect was wearing jeans and a baseball cap.
