Injured dog rescued after falling in gully
Kendal MSRTA dog which was injured after it slipped into a grassy gully has been rescued from the fells.
Kendal Mountain Search and Rescue Team was called to Sledale Forest, between Lonsleddale and Staveley, by a man whose dog fell, injured its leg and was unable to walk on Wednesday.
The man had carried Ron some distance but was unable to travel further, so the volunteers were deployed.
After advice from the team's vet, the dog was treated at the scene and carried with his owner, who "was only to happy to lie on the stretcher" and provide reassurance as they were taken down the fell.
"We wish Ron a full recovery and plenty of treats," the team said.
