Lost Voice Guy - comedian Lee Ridley - has revealed he penned episodes of a new children's television show.

The Britain's Got Talent winner announced on social media he had written two episodes for the CBeebies programme Zog, which is based on the books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

The show stars an orange dragon - the titular Zog - who travels with two human doctors to treat the illnesses of other fantastical creatures.

Ridley said: "It was an exciting challenge, you have to entertain kids, keep the stories moving, and stop the parents wanting to throw the remote out the window."

Ridley is behind two of the new series' episodes, available on BBCiPlayer - including Twiggy Takes Over.

The episode's storyline revolves around a prideful unicorn called Twiggy who is embarrassed to be seen using a walking frame after breaking one of his legs.

"He's as high maintenance as I am, I was able to have a lot of fun with his constant demands and dramatic personality," Ridley said.

"Although, unlike me, he probably doesn't need three people helping him into an accessible taxi."

Ridley was crowned the winner of ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2018.

Cerebral palsy left him unable to speak and he uses text-to-speech technology.

He has since released two series of the Radio 4 sitcom Ability alongside having a successful stand-up career.

On 31 May he will be trialling his new in-progress, stand-up routine at The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle.

"I'm really looking forward to coming home - and if anything goes badly, I'll just blame autocorrect," he said.
